Tic-Tac-Pix is the next step, after Flash Cards, for learning new words. It will use the same lessons created with Flash Cards or you can create new lessons with the editor.

TTP is for one or two players.

System requirements:
Win98SE through WinXP
Min. resolution: 800x600 96dpi (normal)

TTP Editor   Along with the game program there comes an editor that allows you to create new lessons. There is also a collection of over 100 images that you can use. Additionally you can use your own images by simply putting them into the proper folder where they can be easily found.
Each image used can have up to 4 correct answers. This allows for more flexability. For example a picture of an airplane could accept any of these 4 answers as correct: "airplane", "aeroplane", "plane", "airliner"

NON-ENGLISH LANGUAGES  Tic-Tac-Pix is fully capable of using any language that is installed on your computer. Once you've entered the editor you can select the desired language from the list of ready made data sets or you can easily create a new data set to support your language.

Tic-Tac-Pix (the game)  The game itself is totally language independent in that the only letters and/or text comes directly from the lessons. All functions within the game are icon driven. This makes it a perfect vehicle for very young children and students learning foreign languages.

The menu functions.

Each game uses 9 words chosen, at random, from the lesson. By selecting the "sheet of paper" in the top-left gold box the students may choose to have 9 new words or the same 9 words for the next game.

Selecting one of the 3 computers for each player determins if that player is a human (computer 0), a rather poor player (computer 1) or a good player (computer 2)

The Tic-Tac-Pix logo (top-left) allows for the selection of a lesson. And the DASoft logo (bottom-right) will give the information about the currently selected lesson. The "GO" button starts the game.

Playing The Game:  As the game starts the students are given the opportunity to review the words. Each of the 9 images are displayed on the board and by clicking each image one of the possible answers will be displayed in the text area below.
The games starts when the "GO" button is clicked.

An Individual Play:  Each play starts when an image is displayed over the board. The cursor is then placed in the text box and the student types in (one of) the word(s) associated with that image. The answers are NOT case sensitive.

If a correct word was given the student then may play his/her marker on the board.

Game, Set, Match:  The winner of each game recieves a golden star. In the case of a tie, both players are awarded. Each set consists of 3 wins. Allowing for ample practice with the 9 words to reinforce the lesson.

Playing Against the Computer:  As stated before there are 2 degrees of computer play. While stage 1 is a REALLY bad player. Player 2 will make many, many fewer mistakes. Neither of the levels, however, will misspell words so each turn will result in the computer's placing a marker on the board.
Conversly, if the human player types in an incorrect answer, their turn will be forfet.

SHAREWARE VERSION:  The shareware version comes complete with the exception that only one lesson can be created or edited. The game will accept as many lessons are available. Once you've purchased the registration key you'll be able to create and use as many lessons as you need.
